Kibbutz Ein Shemer in Israel is situated among the green hills of the Shomron region, surrounded by citrus groves, orchards and fertile fields. It is located just south of Route 65, about 6 km northeast of Hadera, and is in the Menashe Regional Council. The kibbutz was founded in 1927 by about 54 pioneers, and now has a population of about 600 people. The kibbutz makes a living from agriculture and industry as well as work of individual members outside the kibbutz. The children study at the regional council elementary school, and at the kibbutz-oriented high school, Mevo’ot ‘Iron.
